How to Apply β 5 Simple Steps
Submit an Enquiry
Contact us by phone, email, or visit our office to express your interest and ask any initial questions.
Collect Application Form
Pick up or request an application form from the Admissions Office. Forms are also available on request via email.
Submit Documents
Return the completed form together with all required supporting documents to our Admissions team.
Entrance Assessment
Applicants for Primary and Secondary levels sit a short assessment to help us place them in the right class.
Receive Offer & Enrol
Successful applicants receive an offer letter. Confirm your place by paying the enrolment fee within the stated period.
Documents Required by Level
Please bring originals and photocopies of all documents. Our Admissions team will verify and return your originals on the same day.
Early Childhood (Nursery)
- Certified copy of birth certificate
- Recent passport-size photograph (Γ2)
- Immunisation / health card
- Completed application form
No entrance assessment required for Nursery.
Primary School
- Certified copy of birth certificate
- Most recent school report card
- Transfer letter from previous school
- Recent passport-size photograph (Γ2)
- Completed application form
Short literacy & numeracy assessment for P2 and above.
O-Level (S1 β S4)
- Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results slip β for S1 entry
- Most recent school report card β for S2βS4 transfers
- Transfer letter from previous school
- Certified copy of birth certificate
- Recent passport-size photograph (Γ2)
Entrance assessment in English, Maths, and Science.
A-Level (S5 β S6)
- UCE result slip (minimum 6 passes including core subjects)
- Transfer letter from previous school β for S6 transfers
- Certified copy of birth certificate
- Recent passport-size photograph (Γ2)
- Completed application form
Subject combination interview with the Head of Academics.
Key Dates β 2026 / 2027
Uganda's academic year runs within the calendar year across three terms. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but we recommend applying early to secure your child's place.

Common Questions from Families
Do you accept mid-year or mid-term transfers?
Yes. We welcome transfer students throughout the year subject to availability of places. Contact our Admissions Office to check current vacancies in the relevant class.
What is the language of instruction?
All lessons are conducted in English, which is the medium of instruction across all levels from Primary through A-Level.
Are there bursaries or fee concessions available?
We are committed to accessibility. A limited number of partial bursaries are available for deserving students. Please speak confidentially with the Principal's office to learn more.
What subjects are offered at A-Level?
We offer a broad range of combinations across Sciences, Arts, and Commerce. Common combinations include PCB, PCM, HEG, HGL, and MEG. Speak to the Head of Academics for guidance on subject selection.
Is there a school uniform?
Yes. All students are required to wear the Hope of Eritrea School uniform. Details and approved suppliers are provided in the enrolment pack upon acceptance.
Can I visit the school before applying?
Absolutely β we encourage it. School tours are available Monday to Friday during term time. Contact us to schedule a visit and we will be happy to show you around.
